Queensland Government
The QAS is an initiative of the Queensland Government. It is part of the Department of Communities, under the Minister for Child Safety and Minister for Sport, the Honourable Mr Phil Reeves MP.
Australian Sports Commission
The Australian Sports Commission provides additional funds and in-kind support to the QAS.
National and State Sporting Organisations
Apart from providing funding and in-kind support, national and state sporting organisations working in QAS sports assist in the development of programs and the recruitment of coaches.
Athlete Career and Education Program (ACE)
QAS athletes are assisted in their education and employment pursuits by a number of supporters who offer educational scholarships or flexible employment opportunities suitable to the needs of elite athletes.
