The 2016 Australian Hockey League (AHL) is underway in Perth with the Queensland men’s and women’s teams, the Blades and Scorchers, aiming to defend their 2015 titles.

The AHL is the leading hockey tournament in Australia which will see many of the nation’s top athletes, including members of the Kookaburras and Hockeyroos, competing for their state or territory.

It is always an exciting spectacle but the 2016 competition will see an international injection, with invitational teams from Malaysia, India and New Zealand now in the mix.

For a full list of fixtures and all the latest information head to the Hockey Australia website to the dedicated men’s and women’s AHL pages. The Queensland pool match fixtures and team lists can be found below.

If you can’t be in Perth but want to catch the semi-final and finals action, you can watch live coverage on Friday 7 October and all four medal matches on Sunday 9 October via Epicentre.tv.
