Seminar: Perspectives on Athlete Resilience

The Queensland Academy of Sport (QAS) Centre of Excellence (CoE) for Applied Sport Science Research will present a seminar regarding ‘Perspectives on Athlete Resilience’ on Tuesday 8 August.

The seminar will cover the topical theory of resilience in high performance sport. The word itself has many different meanings, depending on where it is applied and who is applying it. The purpose of the seminar is to bring Queensland’s high performance community together to hear from a dynamic group of experts who will share their experience and thoughts on athlete resilience.

On attending, you will hear from;

  • Darius Boyd – well known Queensland and Australian Rugby League representative
  • Dr David Buttifant – co-founder and director of the NICK Foundation which helps develop wellbeing programs for youth.
  • Professor Remco Polman – Head of School of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences at Queensland University of Technology (QUT).
  • Dr Tristan Coulter – Lecturer in the School of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences at QUT.
