The Queensland Academy of Sport (QAS) Triathlon Program supports the elite triathletes of Queensland, with the aim of helping them win medals at international competitions such as World Championships, World Cups, Olympic Games and Commonwealth Games.

During the past quadrennial period the primary focus of the program has been to develop and assist senior elite athletes while ensuring that developing athletes are still supported. This structure has been extremely successful, culminating in QAS athletes securing fifteen World Championship medals, two Commonwealth Games medals and one Olympic silver medal.

The primary focus of the QAS Program is to develop under-23 athletes to feed into the Australian Institute of Sport and national programs. This change will be a great challenge and will ensure that the athletes of the future are well-prepared for the demands of the sport at a senior level.
