The Youfor2032 Talent Identification Program team has been traveling across the state, unearthing future elite Queensland athletes with the potential to win on the world stage including Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The team so far have held testing sessions in Toowoomba, Warwick, Rockhampton, Emerald, Longreach, Mt Isa, Cairns, Yarrabah, Townsville, Charters Towers and Mackay.

At these testings, the team have been thoroughly impressed with the wealth of raw talent on display and seen numerous testing records broken and are excited with the talent that is about to be tested in the next 2 months as the tour continues through South-East Queensland and further regional areas of Queensland.

QAS Executive Director Troy Ayres is confident the team will find the next future Olympic and Paralympic gold medallist who will be destined for the world stage including the Brisbane 2032 Games.

“We have partnered with 15 Olympic and eight Paralympic sports, so athletes of all types of backgrounds are encouraged to participate if they feel like they have what it takes, and if the Brisbane 2032 Games is a dream to them, then we would love to see them register today.

Sports are looking forward to matching their best coaches with Queensland’s best talent and therefore QAS will provide additional assistance to support these sports in the program’s Talent Confirmation and Talent Development phases.

Those successful in being selected for Youfor2032 will receive expert training, coaching, and development support from State and National Sporting Organisations as well as the QAS.

The team have commenced its South-East tour and will continue through the Wide Bay regions this month.

It doesn’t matter if you don’t have experience in any of these sports - you may have hidden talents yet to be discovered. Sporting potential coupled with a great attitude to excel are the key ingredients needed for this program.
