QAS looks ahead to 2032 with a focus on collaboration and teamwork

The QAS IGNITE High Performance Conference brings together leaders in the elite sport industry as keynote speakers and panellists in a range of sessions to provide insight on the leading edge of performance in preparation for Paris 2024 and beyond.

As Brisbane and Queensland look ahead to 2032 when we will welcome the rest of the world to the Brisbane Olympic and Paralympic Games, the Queensland Academy of Sport (QAS) turning the ignition key and bringing in Australia’s most respected experts to share their insights and learnings at the IGNITE High Performance Sport Conference.

This event will be a chance for the QAS and key stakeholders to connect with industry leaders and share knowledge across the Queensland and National High Performance sport industry. The two-day event is set apart by QAS’s ambition to inspire those who pursue excellence at the highest level, while learning from their experience as well.

IGNITE 2032 will focus on themes relevant to those preparing athletes for success in Paris 2024, Los Angeles 2028 and Brisbane 2032. This includes coaches, specialist practitioners, graduating sports science students, pathway leaders, researchers, parents, and athletes. Topics covered include talent identification, multidisciplinary teams, performance planning, winning psychology, innovation and technology.

The event will be packed full of actionable content from world-renowned keynote speakers and performance experts. They’ll be sharing their knowledge and experience across a variety of themes, including “The Pursuit of Excellence”, “Future of Para Sport Towards 2032”, “Building a Winning Culture” and so much more.

Queensland has a long history with high performance sport – we are excited to welcome the world as hosts of the Brisbane 2032 Games and in preparation for this major event, QAS is committed to delivering world-class education and networking opportunities for our QAS supported Athletes, Coaches and Performance Support staff. This conference is one such initiative – it offers a unique platform where attendees can learn from some of Australia’s most experienced professionals across all areas of High Performance sport at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre from 17-18 November 2022.
