#GC2018 ticket requests are now open

27 April 2017

The wait is over, this is the #GC2018 ticket news you have all been waiting for! We are pleased to confirm that the ticket requests for the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games (GC2018) are officially open!

GC2018 will have the largest competition events schedule in Commonwealth Games history, with an extravaganza of 18 sports across 278 competition sessions, including the largest ever integrated para-sport program.

Spectators can now submit their ticket requests online via the ticketing page on the GC2018 website.

In order to make it fair for everyone, GC2018 tickets will initially be available via a Ticket Request phase over a four-week period from April 24 to May 22. This process is standard practice at every Commonwealth Games and major global sporting events such as the Olympic Games, FIFA World Cup and Wimbledon.

For any sessions where there are more requests than there are tickets available, ticket requests will be awarded via a fair and equal draw. The fair and equal draw is made by computer and processed randomly.

Spectators can look forward to inclusive, accessible and affordable ticket prices for GC2018. Adult tickets start from $20 and children’s tickets are available from $10. What's more, 80% of all tickets are priced $80 or below!

To get your ticket request ready you’ll find a detailed breakdown of ticket prices for each sport (and session) on the #GC2018 website. And for those of you who want to know more, there’s also a handy FAQ section that outlines common ticket related queries.

So go ahead, plan your Games and get your ticket requests in!
