Softball Australia's two teams to take on the Asia Pacific Cup

Softball Australia have announced their two teams set to take on the 2019 Asia Pacific Cup at Blacktown International Sportspark from 31 January – 3 February.

The Travelodge Aussie Spirit and Australia A teams were named following the 2019 Open Women’s National Softball Championship and both teams have selected Queensland players.

The Asia Pacific Cup will see both teams flying the Aussie flag as they compete against New Zealand, Italy, Chinese Taipei, China and the defending champions Japan.

The QAS Prospecting For Gold program (P4G) has successfully helped Queenslander, Brooke Spence, transition from football to be named in the Australia A softball team.

In addition to the Asia Pacific Cup, the Travelodge Aussie Spirit team will head over to the United States to compete as the Aussie Peppers of Minnesota in the 2019 National Pro Fastpitch where the team will be representing their country in elite level softball.

The final day of the Asia Pacific Cup will be broadcast live on FOX SPORTS Australia from 11:00am AEDT.
