Queensland’s brightest athletes are getting young students active in a ‘brain break’ as part of Education Queensland’s television program, Learning@home TV, starting today.

Airing on Queensland’s 7TWO free-to-air channel, the education program will broadcast 8:30am to 10:30am on Monday, Wednesday and Friday in a collaboration between 7 News Brisbane and the Queensland Government.

As part of the two-hour sessions, Queensland Academy of Sport (QAS) athletes will be featured as part of a quick ‘brain break’ encouraging viewers to keep their bodies active, as well as their minds.

"We’re taking them through a couple of exercises, having a bit of fun with it and getting them up and active," Olympic swimmer Mitch Larkin told 7 News Brisbane.

Larkin is one of nine athletes lending their talents to the program alongside school teachers delivering Australian curriculum targeted towards primary school-aged children.
