Boost Your Healthy

2 May 2020

Health and Wellbeing Queensland have launched the Boost Your Healthy campaign as part of the Queensland Government’s co-ordinated response to COVID-19.

The campaign’s aim is to provide Queenslanders with support, inspiration and ideas to stay healthy and active at home during COVID-19 and in the lead-up to flu season.

Launched in collaboration with the Queensland Academy of Sport (QAS) and Queensland Sport and Recreation, the initiative will offer a range of services, programs, activities and resources which Queenslanders will be able to use to boost their daily activity, healthy eating and wellbeing.

QAS Executive Director of Elite Success and Partnerships, Natalie Cook starred in the campaign’s launch on Saturday alongside Queensland sporting heroes, Jeff Horn (boxing) and Gretel Bueta (netball).

The initiative will see Jeff, Gretel and many more of the state’s sporting greats encourage Queenslanders to stay active and healthy by completing a series of daily fitness challenges and getting involved in the Billion Steps Challenge.

The Billion Steps Challenge looks to motivate Queenslanders to step together to reach the target of one billion steps before 30th June 2020. The challenge is free and open to everyone! Simply download the 10,000 Steps App and record your daily steps.

To get involved with Boost Your Healthy, share how you’re boosting your activity, eating and wellbeing during COVID-19 on social media and use the hashtag #BoostCampQld.
