The QAS physiotherapy network comprises a group of highly qualified physiotherapists with extensive experience in elite sport at the state, national and international level.

The role of the physiotherapy network is to assist the medical practitioners in coordinating the overall medical care of QAS scholarship holders.  Services are provided in private consultation with athletes on a fee for service basis.  The availability of these services exists throughout metropolitan and regional Queensland.

An important function of the physiotherapy network is the coordination of QAS medical screening processes for QAS athletes. This process reviews the medical and injury status of new QAS scholarship holders and coordinates appropriate follow up within the QAS sports medicine network. Each QAS sport has an appointed physiotherapy provider to perform the screening process.

Communication with coaches and allied health providers is seen as an important component of the successful provision of care to QAS scholarship holders

The QAS sports medicine physiotherapy network directory comprises information regarding QAS preferred service providers to assist coaches and relevant individuals with information on the experience and skills that are available to them at the QAS.
